Hot, hot, hot...

Here are the redcurrants; de-stalked, washed and laid out to dry in the afternoon sun.

It's been really hot here, 27C  (81F) with high humidity, especially high during and after thunderstorms yesterday.  The rain is great for the plants, and the tomatoes and cucumbers are loving the heat too.  I've had a touch of mildew on the courgettes, but on the whole the heat has been great for the garden.

Not so good for me, have been hiding out in the house most of the day to keep cool.  It's at times like this I really appreciate working from home - no commuting in the heat for me!
